A new season of life

My babies are growing! I went a little with photo overload, oh well.

Kelvin - 16lbs 12oz (33%) - 27in (67%) - 45cm head (80%) - Size 2 diapers - 6m and 6-9m clothes
This is our biggest baby yet. It is fun to see his stats on the curve on the growth chart. Kelvin is a fun kid with a big personality. He HATES bananas, squash and peaches. But other than that, he likes food. He really loves pears. This week he started rolling over more and more.  He loves it when you clap for him and he has the greatest smile ever.  Blonde hair is starting to show up and his bald head.  Bath time is really fun and so are mornings. Kelvin WAS sleeping 10 hours at night but we have moved backwards. Bedtime is between 7 and 8. He wakes up around 4/430 to eat then sleeps again until 730.  We have tried having him cry it out, but the stubborn kid will cry for an hour and never miss a beat.

Ayla - (stats to be determined on Monday at check-up but we are guessing around 25-27lbs) - Size 4 diapers (potty training has taken a back seat to big girl bed and no more pacis) - some 18m clothes and 24/2t clothes - size 5-5.5 shoes
Our baby girl has hit her terrible 2s in my opinion, or maybe she is just repaying me for all the attitude I gave my mother. She is very good at saying NO and MINE!  The first things to go when we get in the car? Her bows and shoes. She loves helping me with Kelvin by getting blankets, burp rags, diapers, tissues, pacis, and anything else I need. She has moved into a twin bed and she does pretty good at staying there. She knows when we don't shut the door tight and comes out of her room like it's no big deal.  She only gets her pacis at nap and bedtime. The first day was rough, but after the first day she was fine. Ayla acts like she is 16 and tries to be independent or do whatever Asher does. She likes sweet tea and apple juice, fruit loops, gold fish, pizza, french fries, and whatever Asher is eating. The cutest thing is when she asks Asher for help with things. At night she will unzip her pajamas and undo her diaper....that's fun....just because she can. Mike is her favorite - and that doesn't hurt my feelings one bit.

1st day of no paci

She decided it was her birthday so she didn't need shoes or coat. It was 50 degrees.

Anything Asher does, Ayla does

Asher - Probably around 30lbs - size 3t clothes - size 8 or 9 shoes
Asher is obsessed with his Buckeye hat. It is a hat we got from friends when he was not even a year old. He wears it all the time except for bath time.  Asher is growing up! He can say some really mature things and definitely understands more than I realize.  But on another note, he is in the poopy, potty, farts are so funny stage. He thinks all knock knock jokes are funny and has started playing simple video games with Mike. This is Mike's dream come true. He loves the game CandyLand and making obstacle courses in the back yard. He picks out his own clothes and dresses himself (that means he wears a lot of tank tops). He prefers milk over anything, likes cheerios, cheese, yogurt and peanut butter and jelly. He is an AMAZING big brother to Kelvin. They share a room now and I find him checking on Kelvin often. He doesn't wake up when Kelvin cries at night which is awesome. Asher has a big heart and he is beginning to show all the awesome things he is capable of.

Ayla wanted to Pee in the grass since Asher did. Asher was teaching her how...it didn't work.

These kids keep me busy, but are so much fun. They have their good days and bad days. I feel like I talk a lot about good and bad choices. We listen to Veggie Tales, Toddler CDs and Mickey Mouse over and over again in the car. We had an awesome month of beautiful weather, no sickness, and outdoor play! Gam Gam and Uncle Bry came to visit on the nicest weekend we have had this winter. We still have a few snotty noses and coughs, but we finally got over the sickness.

Our time in Tulsa has come to an end. When we moved here, we thought we would be staying long term, but things have changed. In two weeks we will be moving to Chicago. Mike has a new job  and we are moving in with MeMaw and Papa until we can find a house. We have been incredibly blessed in Tulsa and are very sad to leave. God has big plans for us in Chicago. He has been with us during this transition and will continue to be with us.
